Prayer Retreat

March 3-5, 2024

“It was such a beautiful place! God was all around me, and the weekend was filled with love, joy and peace.”

-Attendee of previous Mo-Ranch Prayer Retreat

Scripture says we are to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances”. Through prayer, we have the opportunity to move closer to the Creator and to listen for the Spirit. “Finding God in Every Moment” invites participants to discover and renew the richness of prayer. Enhanced by the beautiful, natural setting at Mo Ranch we will explore both new and ancient ways of finding God in every moment.

Rev. Jeannie Corbitt Cardona
is an ordained Presbyterian pastor serving as Associate Pastor at Buda United Methodist Church, Buda, TX.  She holds her M.Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She has previously served as the Director of Church Relations for the seminary and as the Monie Pastoral Resident at Preston Hollow Presbyterian in Dallas.

Mahlon Hight
lives in Dallas with her husband Fred and serves as the Director of Congregational Care and Senior Adult Ministry at Preston Hollow PC. In that role Mahlon frequently facilitates small and large group experiences in faith formation and spiritual practices, both at Preston Hollow PC and in other setting in the Dallas area. She is pleased to have the opportunity to co-facilitate this experience with her dear friend, Rev. Jeannie Corbitt Cordona. As a spiritual director Mahlon feels the importance of ongoing spiritual practice, particularly prayer, is essential for the ever-growing faith of Christians. Guiding people of faith in exploring a banquet of prayer options is an integral part of Mahlon’s call to ministry.  Having the opportunity to do that exploring in the beautiful setting of a Mo Ranch retreat will enable reflection and introspection alongside listening to and sharing with others. For Mahlon, this retreat hits the sweet spot of what it means to grow one’s faith by seeking a deeper relationship with the Creator.
