Retreat, relax and create together in the Texas Hill Country at beautiful Mo-Ranch!

Surround yourself with fellowship, worship and the Christmas Spirit during our Holiday Craft Weekend. This is the perfect opportunity to grab a friend and get away to the Texas Hill Country. This retreat is hosted in the beautiful setting of Mo-Ranch, with ample workspace for you to unleash your creativity!

Our retreat leadership will guide you through hands-on Christmas craft workshop courses. Join us for a fun, art-filled weekend before the holiday season gets too busy! This is the perfect opportunity for you to make some creative Christmas gifts and/or holiday decorations. There’s literally something for everyone, regardless of your artistic skill or ability. All supplies will be provided…just bring yourself and a willingness to learn and have fun. And be prepared not to leave empty-handed! There will be plenty of free time during each day to explore and enjoy Mo-Ranch or you’re welcome to continue crafting on!

Possible projects include: Glass Fusion, Glass Etching, Stained Glass, Silk Scarf Painting, Fabric Painting, Tie-Dyeing, Wood Burning, Wood Painting, Wood Christmas Ornament, Beadwork, Bracelet and Earring Making, Glaze Pottery, Tin Can Caddies, Mosaics and more!

Gladys Swanson

From Lufkin, Texas, Gladys joins the leadership team as a Mo-Ranch A.R.T. @ Mo veteran. She has also served as a Small Group Leader for Youth Celebration, the summer high school youth conference at Mo – so she is not faint of heart!

 

 

Kris Wessale 

No stranger to Mo-Ranch, Kris served as our stained glass instructor at the 2019 A.R.T. @ Mo conference. She is a retired educator and has worked in stained glass for more than 20 years – and taught others the practice for over 10 years. She has produced many glass pieces from suncatchers to large windows. She enjoys facilitating and instructing new artists in this medium! 

Cost and Housing

Accommodations will be hotel-style lodging. Rates include tuition, lodging and meals. After receiving your registration, a member of our team will contact you within seven business days to confirm additional details such as housing requests (roommates), dietary needs, t-shirt sizes, etc. 

Single Occupancy: $525

Double Occupancy: $385

Commuter: $225 (excludes breakfast & lodging)

Promotional guidelines are as follows:

  1. Participants must be registered within two weeks of the retreat’s start date.
  2. Participants must list the person’s full name who referred them to the conference in the “additional notes” section of the online registration form. If registering by phone, the participant must register with Echo Truax and clearly state the person’s name who referred them to the conference.
  3. Referral credits are applied once the referred family has signed up and charges are processed.

Cancellation

Full refund minus administrative fee up to $75 per person will be made if cancellation is received more than 30 days prior to the conference. There are generally no refunds for cancellations received on or after 30 days prior to the start of the event nor any applying of the amount paid toward other charges or future conferences.

Transportation

Mo-Ranch is 90 miles one-way, or a 2-hour drive from the nearest airport (SAT), allow 3 hours travel/check-in time for departures. We recommend generally scheduling arriving flights before 3 p.m. and departing flights after 3 p.m. to be sure you do not miss any of your event.

If you are in need of shuttle service to Mo-Ranch, call Kars for Hire in Kerrville at (830) 890-8200 at least 15 days in advance to arrange transportation from San Antonio International Airport.

What supplies and other items should I bring?

Supplies are included with conference fees for all of the courses available. Please bring your own supplies for any outside projects you wish to complete during free time.

You may want to bring a Bible, notebook, flashlight, comfortable walking shoes, casual clothing, tennis equipment, swimsuit, water shoes, rain gear, camera, lidded cup or mug, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Bookstore

Make sure to stop by the Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly bookstore during your conference to pick out a souvenir!
