G3: Grace, Gravity and Getting Old

September 6-8, 2024

Giving Tuesday Slider

Aging is an unavoidable part of life. It brings challenges but also provides unique opportunities that must be seized and enjoyed! How can we make the years ahead something to look forward to? Parker Palmer’s book On the Brink of Everything is the foundation for this experience, but a variety of wise voices will be in the mix as well.

Mahlon Hight, Director of Congregational Care and Senior Adult Ministry at Preston Hollow PC in Dallas will facilitate this discussion/experience. As a spiritual director Mahlon feels that considering aging from the perspective of who we are now, as opposed to who we thought we would/should be, is vital to being content in our later years. Having the opportunity to explore this important topic within the immersive setting of a Mo Ranch retreat will enable reflection and introspection alongside listening to and sharing with others who are on the same journey.

Purchasing the book is optional but recommended. Join us as we explore together what aging is and is not in our world today.  Link to purchase from Amazon: On the Brink of Everything: Grace, Gravity, and Getting Old: Palmer, Parker J.
