Nowadays, life is busy. It always seems like there is something going on, from juggling every family member’s schedule to finishing school projects.

It’s easy to get in the middle of the hustle and bustle, and Mo-Ranch wants to give your family a chance to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect as a family.

So grab the family and come on out to Mo-Ranch for a fun-filled weekend, full of relaxation, quality time and memories.

From shooting archery and taking on the ropes course to participating in daily devotionals and attending a fall festival, Family Weekend Retreat is perfect for families of all ages.

Dalton Baker, Youth Ministry Intern

Dalton is pursuing a Master’s degree in youth ministry from Austin Theological Seminary.

He comes to Mo through a program called Center for Youth Ministry Training, which partners with congregations and organizations to give pastors hands-on learning opportunities.

“I love the property of Mo. Mo is a unique and beautiful place,” he said.

Dalton, who has been at Mo since July, is passionate about bringing people together through ministry. In that time, he’s played an integral role in helping to plan Mo’s conferences.

“The most rewarding part is being able to help people come and experience Mo,” he said. “Whether they have been here 100 times or if it their first time at Mo, it is cool to be able to welcome them to Mo.”

Stephen McCracken, Field Instructor

Stephen attended North Idaho College and received degrees in history and outdoor leadership. He is also a National Outdoor Leadership School, Australia alumni.

Previously, Stephen managed a zip line course in Indiana for two years and was certified as a white-water kayaking instructor in Idaho. Since he joined Mo in 2015, Stephen has worked as a lead counselor for our Teen Day Camp and as a field instructor for our environmental leadership program. He currently serves as a lead field instructor.

Stephen loves the sense of community at Mo and enjoys working with people from all different walks of life. He enjoys being able to share his love and passion for the outdoors with our visiting students.

Billy Abbate, Field Instructor

Billy has had a passion for Mo-Ranch for 15 years.

Billy started attending Mo-Ranch Summer Camp when he was 10-years-old. Then, as soon as he turned 19, he signed up to be a summer camp counselor. Now, Billy is working at Mo-Ranch as a lead field instructor for the Environmental Leadership Program.

For Billy, who studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and has a degree in psychology with an emphasis on education, the job matches his two passions — the great outdoors and teaching.
