Couples’ Weekend Retreat

February 15-17, 2019

All of us realize that couple-hood and marriage require work, time and attention. So often, though, the busyness of our everyday lives take over and it seems our relationships start to lack the attention they deserve. Hit the “pause” button and spend a celebratory date weekend away with your significant other in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country! You will have time and space to enjoy one another as well as experience a fun, creative “shot in the arm” from the keynote speaker.   Plenty of time will be built in for you to play, rest, hike, or do whatever seems like it might benefit and strengthen your relationship bonds. Whether you’re newly married, partnered, dating someone, or have been married for years—all are welcome to join us! Questions? We’re happy to help! Contact us at 1.800.460.4401 ext. 246 or

A native Texan, the Rev. Sarah de la Fuente was born in Dallas, high-tailed it to Houston at six-weeks old and then landed in Austin in 1988, where she has since been a permanent resident.

She is a graduate of St. Agnes Academy, the University of Texas, and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. She received her Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where she was awarded the W.P. Newell fellowship for academic and ministerial achievement.

The owner of Austin Weddings Unlimited since 1999, Sarah has officiated at hundreds of weddings for couples of every imaginable spiritual background. She believes that diversity of opinions, cultures, spirituality, politics, and tastes may sometimes challenge us, but also offer opportunities for deeply meaningful relationships.

She truly enjoys her work and feels strongly that her own life and marriage is enriched by her experiences with each of her diverse couples’ weddings.

Sarah loves reading historical fiction, cycling on her retro Bianchi bike with Sam, attending spin classes, and traveling on adventures. She has been married to Joe, her best friend, since 1994. Together, their greatest treasures are their two children and the marriage they’ve cultivated.
