Mo-Ranch is now taking applications for the 28th Annual Polar Bear Plunge beneficiary.

Every year, people raise money for a local non-profit by sliding down the 116-foot-long, 35-foot-high Mo slide into the Guadalupe River.

In order to be considered, non-profits must provide charitable/educational needs in Kerr County, promote and encourage community involvement, have a clearly defined mission and have a plan for any potential funds raised.

Any non-profit interested must also submit an essay and proof of 501(c)(3) status.

Applications must be postmarked by Jan. 31.

The application can be found online at moranch.org/polarbear. Please send completed applications to Breanna Larsen, marketing and communications manager.

Applications can be sent via email to bclarsen@moranch.org or through the mail: Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly Attn: Breanna Larsen, 2229 FM 1340 Hunt, TX 78024.

To date, this event has raised over $370,000 — all of which go to area nonprofits like Partners in Ministry, Christian Women’s Job Corps, Star Ranch, Hill Country College Fund, Christian Assistance Ministry, Kid’s Advocacy Place, Habitat for Humanity, K-Star, BCFS Health and Human Services, Hill Country Crisis Council, Kerr County United Way, The Salvation Army of Kerrville, Kerr County Young Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, West Kerr County Youth Sports and Hill Country Youth Ranch.

For more information, contact Breanna Larsen at 800.460.4401 ext. 272.
